City of Mexia Rental Information

The City of Mexia has rental facilities available. Those facilities can be rented through the Executive Assistant for the City Manager 101 N. McKinney Sti’eet, Mexia, TX.

Convention Center

Deposit $400 non-residents/$300 residents Rent $400 per day non-residents/$300 residents

Optional Cleaning Fee $300 non-refundable, Staff will put away tables/chairs and clean the facility

Microphone:    $25.00 

The deposit will be returned after 10 days of your rental date, provided everything is clean, we do not have to sweep or mop, and there are no damages.

We have 58 tables that are rectangular, 2 1/2 feet by 6 feet

We have approximately 300 chairs.

Maximum occupancy is 400 people. The upstairs balcony is permanently closed. We have a full kitchen with a large commercial ice machine.

Alcohol Policy: There is no alcohol allowed at an event for minors.

Alcohol Liability Insurance Policy coverage must be at least $500,000. You can get this insurance from any Insurance company. They might charge anywhere from $180 to $300 for this. We do not regulate how much they charge.

If you have alcohol at your event, along with insurance, you will have to have two (2) licensed police officers who are approved by our Police Chief to be at the event the entire time. You must pay them at the rate of pay they agree to provide security for.


Girl Scout House and Pavilion

Deposit       $100

Rent            $100 per day

Pavilion       $No charge but must be reserved

The deposit will be returned after 10 days of your rental date, provided everything is clean, we do not have to sweep or mop, and there are no damages.


There are a limited number of tables and chairs. We recommend you bring additional chairs, tables and fans. There are two bathrooms, a small kitchen with a stove and refrigerator.

 

Sports Complex (Baseball and Soccer Fields)

Deposits and Fees

    Deposit for Fields (per event)                    $200      Per event. 

    Deposit for Concession Stand Only           $100      Per event.

    Rental of Baseball Fields                             $1,000   Per event.

    Rental of Soccer Fields                               $400      Per event.

    Rental of Concession Stand Only               $25        Per event.

Notes:

  • The deposit is the same for both residents and non-residents.
  • The rental includes all Baseball fields or all Soccer fields in the rental price. We do not rent per field. If you are renting the fields, the Concession Stand is included but you do have to acknowledge that you want it.
  • The concession stand is available for use to the first group who makes a request and submits their rental application with fees.
  • The concession stand can be rented without the use of the fields, however the deposit and rent still apply.
  • There is only one Baseball rental and one Soccer rental per weekend (Friday through Sunday).
  • The rental does not include the Rodeo Arena, the Armory, or property outside of the Armory area.
  • Liability insurance shall be obtained by the renter and required by the City to rent the facility.
  • The City charges a 15% cancellation fee.
  • The deposit, plus the applicable fee, is due at the time of reservation to book the rental.



Rodeo Arena

Individual Use

The Rodeo Arena may be used by individuals. Individual use does not include a “group” to use the facility for an organized event.

Keys for’ the Arena and the light breaker switch (located behind the concession stand) may be obtained from the Police Dispatcher at the Police Station. The keys must be returned to the police station immediately after use. In order to obtain the lcey, all individuals will sign a Waiver of Liability at the Police Station before the key is given out. The Arena will be available for use from sunrise until 10:00 p.m. each day. The arena will not be available for individual use immediately before and after major group events (such as the annual Rodeo) to allow City staff time to prepare and repair the facility, as needed. Group Event Use

An application packet for a group event such can be obtained from the City Manager's office. The application must be completed and return with the appropriate fees. The Arena will not be available for individual use immediately before and after major group events (such as the annual Rodeo) to allow City staff time to prepare and repair the facility, as needed.

The deposit for the arena is $200. The daily rental fee is $200 per day. You must also provide proof of liability insurance.
